• Barring perhaps the Executioner (who is in a suit of armor, greatly increasing his stature), Jao and Mao are the tallest humans in Skies of Arcadia, exceeding even Vigoro's height.
• They are named after the Jiao and Mao, a unit of currency used in Greater China.
